PDG Monica Saville
Past District Governor Monica Saville has been a Rotarian for over 20 years and is currently a member of the Rotary Club of Epping NSW. She has had wide experience at senior levels in both Club, District and Zone administration.
Monica was District 9680 Governor in 2007-8. and the District 9680 Representative on the 2013 Council on Legislation. She is Services Director on the Host Organising Committee for the 2014 Rotary International Convention in Sydney.
Monica is the Regional Rotary Foundation Coordinator for Zone 7B (6 districts in NZ) and part of 8 (10 districts in SE Australia) 2012-15 having been the ARRFC 2009-12. She is a Trustee of the Australian Rotary Foundation Trust 2013-16. Monica has presented at Rotary Conferences, and Institutes in Australia and New Zealand, India and the USA.
She has been recognised with a District Community Service award, is a Gold Companion of Australian Rotary Health and has multiple Paul Harris Fellow recognitions. Monica is a Major Donor to the Rotary Foundation and a member of their Bequest Society.
Monica is a former teacher, Senior Executive Officer and Principal, and a university graduate with an Honours degree in Science and a Master of Arts degree in Education.
Monica and her husband Geoff have lived in the leafy Hills area of Sydney for the past 50 years. They enjoy international travel, music, theatre, reading, golf and bushwalking.
Peter has been a Rotarian for over 23 years and is currently a member of the Rotary Club of Somerton Park. In District 9520 he has been District Governor’s Representative, District MedicAlert Committee Chair, Assistant Governor, District Governor in 2007-08, District Rotary Foundation Committee Chair, District Trainer and is the District Representative on the 2016 Council on Legislation. From 2010 to 2013 he was Regional Rotary Foundation Coordinator (Part Zone 8) for the eleven Districts from 9455 to 9670 inclusive. He has been Trustee of The Australian Rotary Foundation Trust since 2012.
Peter studied Civil Engineering and Economics at the University of Adelaide, and Management at the University of South Australia. His working career included various professional, managerial and executive positions in the water industry, industrial affairs and asset management, as well as consulting work including one year in the United Kingdom as a Confederation of British Industries Scholar.
Peter and his wife Meredith live in Glenelg (a beachside suburb of Adelaide) and have two married sons and four grandchildren with another one due in August 2014. Their interests include music, caravanning, overseas travel, swimming, kayaking, sailing , hiking, cycling and relaxing at their holiday house on the River Murray at Goolwa.
Ian H. S Riseley
Ian Riseley is a Chartered Accountant with his own practice in Melbourne, Australia.
He has received the Australian Government Ausaid award as a “Peacebuilder” for East Timor, travelled to Bangladesh to support an Interplast team, received the Regional Service Award for a Polio-free World, and the Medal of the Order of Australia for services to the community.
Ian was a Charter Member of his Rotary Club in 1978 and became President in 1981/82. He led a Group Study Exchange team to Boston in 1997, and was Governor of District 9810 in 1999/2000.
Ian was a member of the Board of Directors of Rotary International in 2006/08, serving as Treasurer in 2007/08.
He then joined the Finance Committee of Rotary International, becoming Chairman in 2010/11. He was also Moderator for the Regional Rotary Foundation Coordinator’s Institute in February 2011.
Ian was elected as a Trustee of The Rotary Foundation from 2011 to 2015. He is Chairman of the TRF Finance Committee and the Investment Committee.
His wife Juliet was District Governor for District 9810 in 2011/12. They are both multiple Paul Harris Fellows, members of the Bequest Society and Major Donors to the Rotary Foundation
Joanne Schilling has been a Rotarian since 2000 and is a member of the Rotary Club of Darwin South. District Governor for Rotary District 9550 in 2007-08, Joanne was District Treasurer 2003-06, Future Vision District Rotary Foundation Committee Chair 2010-13, and has conducted numerous Club Visioning sessions to facilitate strategic planning in Rotary Clubs. She is a founding member of the D9550 Paul Harris Society and is a Major Donor and Bequest Society Member of The Rotary Foundation. Joanne has represented the RI President at District Conferences, and is currently a member of the Rotary International Finance Committee, Regional Rotary Foundation Coordinator for Part of Zone 8, and a Trustee of The Australian Rotary Foundation Trust.
Joanne was Director Non-Government Schools in the Northern Territory Department of Education until retiring in early 2014, and has a background in accounting, business, economics, and public policy and management.
Joanne has four sons and four grandchildren, and her youngest son was a Rotary Youth Exchange student to Norway in 2000. Joanne plays tennis, and she and partner Percy Peel enjoy Rotary activities and fishing the Territory’s inland rivers and billabongs.
Terry Lees has been a Rotarian for over 27 years and currently a member of the Rotary Club of Mount Isa South West in District 9550. A Past District Governor (2001-02), Terry has also served on the Board of ARH from 2004-2009, with the last two years as Chair, and on the Board of RAWCS (1999-2003) as Chair in 2001-03. He led a GSE Team to District 5040 in British Columbia, Canada in 1998. Terry was Chairman of Mount Isa Rotary Rodeo for 9 years from 1988 and played a major role in positioning it to become a unique world class event.
Terry has enjoyed a long career in management and training, over 40 years’ experience in media (radio and television) – both in leadership and on-air presentation, managed a successful legal conveyancing firm, which followed 10 years of running a business consulting practice. More recently, he has been involved in Indigenous social services and ministry work for the Catholic Diocese of Townsville. Prior to 1984, he worked in television in sales management and marketing, as marketing executive with Carlton United Breweries, as a sales representative and broker in the insurance industry, and spent the first 7 years of his working career at the Prime Minister’s Department, Royal Australian Mint and Superannuation Board in Canberra.
Married to Pattie since 1969, with two daughters, two sons and ten grandchildren, Terry Lees is a long-term resident of Mount Isa, having moved to the Outback City in January 1977. Terry has been actively involved with voluntary service for most of his life in community, sporting and cultural organisations and has served on several national business Boards.
Ross Forgione has been a Rotarian for over 30 years and is currently a member of the Rotary Club of Archerfield in District 9630 Brisbane Queensland. Married to Lynn and lives in Algester Brisbane. Solicitor, Notary and Senior Councillor with the Queensland Law Society. Retired in 2013 after more than 37 years as a self employed legal practitioner.
Current and previous roles in Rotary include District 9630 District Governor in 2002/2003, Chair of The Australian Foundation Trust, Zone Coordinator for Rotary International Literacy Resource Group, Trustee of The District 9630 Headquarters Trust, Company Member, National Rotary Committee Member and Queensland Chair of Interplant District and Institute Insurance Chair, Trainer, Team Leader and Facilitator, Council on Legislation Delegate, Rotary International President Representative, Inaugural Chair of District 9630 Paul Harris Society, volunteer in Papua New Guinea, National Immunization Day and sanitation project in India and Rotary International Endowment and Major Donor Advisor.
Currently Manager of The Rotary Foundation South Pacific & Philippines Office in Parramatta, New South Wales. A Rotarian since 1979, Bruce carries a high level of Rotary experience and was District Governor of district 9680 covering from northern Sydney to the Central Coast in 2004/05. Prior to retirement he worked for the Goodyear Tyre and Rubber Company managing roles covering advertising, sales, marketing, budget development/control, production planning and inventory management. He finished his career with Goodyear as National Marketing Manager.
Bruce is a member of the Rotary Club of Castle Hill in Sydney and holds the position of Club Treasurer.
Jennifer is a lawyer, who for 25 years specialised in Environment and Planning law. Jennifer now provides facilitation, conflict management, and dispute resolution services and training to private and government organisations and to the courts. Jennifer has bachelor degrees in Arts and Law, and Masters degrees in Law, and in Peace and Conflict Resolution. Her passion is building peace though workshops and training that gives participants a better understanding of culture and conflict as well as providing tools for peace.
Jennifer has been a Rotarian with the Rotary Club of Central Blue Mountains since 1996 and served as president in 2001. She was previously a member of Interact and Rotaract. Jennifer & Ian are Paul Harris Society members, Bequest Society members and Major Donors. Having held numerous positions at Club level, Jennifer has served on a number of District Committees and assisted in the design of Rotary’s Dispute Resolution System and Child Protection System. In 2007-2008 Jennifer was Governor of District 9690 in Australia, an area covering Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains.
Jennifer has also served on several Rotary affiliated boards and committees, including: Rotary Australia World Community Service; Rotary Leadership Institute; Rotary Down Under (regional magazine); The Australian Rotary Foundation Trust; Road Safety Education Limited; Extension of Rotary, South Pacific Committee; Governor Nominee and Governor Elect trainer 2009-2012; Zone Training Coordinator 2012-13 & 2013-2014; International Assembly trainer 2012-13 & 2013-2014, Rotary Public Image Facilitator 2013-2014.

Trustee and Deputy Chair
Lou has been a Rotarian for over 30 years as a member of the Rotary Club of Launceston West.
He was District Governor in 2006-7 and District 9830 representative on the 2013 Council on Legislation.
Lou was the Chairman of Rotary Australia World Community Service Ltd (RAWCS) for 2007-12 and a member of National Insurance Committee for three years, serving as Chairman in 2012-13.
He is currently a member of the Rotary Foundation Fund Development Committee which provides advice to the Rotary Foundation Trustees on fund raising. For several years Lou has specialised in Not-for-Profit taxation issues and the importance of tax deductibility to fund raising.
John Barnes joined the Rotary Club of Clayton in District 9810 in 1979. He was President in1983/84 and again in 2002/03. He has held most positions at Club level including Secretary for 10 years and is a multiple Paul Harris Fellow and a member of the Centurion Club. He has served on the District Vocational and International Committees and was Chair of the District International Committee in 2003/04 and 2004/05. John was an Assistant Governor in 2005/06 and 2006/07. He was Governor of his District in 2008/09 and in 2009/10 joined the District Foundation Committee. In 2010/11he began a 3 year appointment as an Assistant Rotary Coordinator. In 2011/12 he commenced a 5 year term as District Foundation chair. John has also been a part of the GETS Training Team for incoming District Governors in 2010 and again in 2011 and 2012..John commenced his 3 year term as a TARFT Trustee on July 1st 2014.
In 1999 John and his wife Gaye (an honorary member of the Rotary Club of Clayton and a Paul Harris Fellow) accompanied an Interplast team to Laos as Rotary observers as a result of an invitation from Interplast. He is now a Company member, Board member and Secretary of Interplast Australia & New Zealand. Over the past 13 years John has been active in promoting the program to Clubs and Districts throughout Australia and New Zealand. He is also a member of Interplast’s Committee of Rotarians.
John was the principal of Lambie Real Estate Pty Ltd, a predominantly residential real estate agency in Clayton, from which he retired in April of 2008 after 40 years in the Real Estate Industry. He started his working life in Tasmania with the Commercial Bank of Australia where he met and married Gaye. They have two daughters, Amanda and Rachel and one grandsonl.
Apart from his family and Rotary he finds some time for travelling, gardening, enjoying good food and wine, doing a little bike riding and supporting the Essendon Football Club.
Jim has been an active member of the Rotary Club of North Balwyn in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs since 1991.
He has served Rotary International as District Governor of District 9800 in 2008- 2009. He as also actively supported the Rotary Districts of Victoria and Tasmania as an Assistant Rotary Regional Foundation Coordinator since 2012
